Redwing

This Redwing was one of a flock of 100 or so feeding along a sparse area of rowans and hazel at the bottom of Herries Road, opposite Hillsborough Stadium, on 19th January 1985. Redwings can be seen moving through the area during autumn passage, often in spectacular numbers. Although some will winter here in most years, numbers can be variable. Last updated 9th April 2000
