Red Kite

It was only in March 1996 that Red Kite was added to many a Sheffield listers' tally, when an untagged bird spent a few days around the Derwentdale area. Less than a decade later the species is seen much more regularly. With one of the English release schemes just a few miles up the M1 at Harewood, this must be the source of many of the wandering individuals seen around the area. How long before they breed locally?
