Ferruginous Duck

There are very few records of Ferruginous Duck in the Sheffield area which can be considered to relate to wild birds. This male was photographed by John Rochester in Endliffe Park, where a number of the [more exotic] wildfowl species have been placed by Sheffield Parks and Recreation Service. Many of these birds have been injured and recovered, but still unable to fly. Last updated 18th May 2000
